Our involvement with the Rebuild of Sedgers Reef Hotel Iluka

Our journey with head contractor Visual Builder's of Melbourne for the demolition and rebuild of the Sedger's Reef Hotel Iluka, began in mid 2022. 

Part of Visual Builder's contract agreement with the owners, the McGeary Family was to use local trades and we were happy to be able to step in and be part of the journey.

Down River Building provided all of the Building & Carpentry trades as well as the General Labour for the building of the temporary pub, the initial strip out of the old pub prior to demolition and the rebuild of the new Sedger's Reef Hotel. 

A total of 22 months from the start of the temporary pub to the opening of the new pub in September 2024.
